WDScott FOUNDATION

The WDScott Foundation reflects the underlying values and shared beliefs of the founding shareholders of the business.  We wanted to create a Foundation where staff and shareholders could invest and be engaged in social and worthwhile interests that go beyond those of everyday Client and company demands and interests.

The founding shareholders made an initial GBP50,000 investment in Gap Guru, an organisation that arranges ‘gap experiences’ in India for first world people. Participants in the Gap Guru program work in orphanages, hospitals, schools and various community building projects across India.

  • The Board will invite staff and executives to participate in the development of the mission and vision for the WDScott Foundation. Programs currently under consideration include:
  • Salary sacrifice
  • Company-matched giving from salary sacrifice
  • Annual pre-tax distribution from the firm
  • Staff engagement in agreed Foundation work during work hours
  • Discussion groups on major social issues.
